Desperately want to keep this one for myself but needs must! For sale on behalf of a very good client to whom I have just sold a new Range Rover, this very special vehicle, number 287 of 385 (or 386 depending on who you speak to!) has been used sparingly by him since he bought it in 2006.

Inside this vehicle is in very condition indeed with no wear or rips on the seats. The steering wheel and gear selector is very slightly worn as you would expect with this mileage.
The paintwork outside is in ok condition but there has been some paint applied to this vehicle over its life and the drivers side front wing for example if very flat, with no shine.
Other than that the paint is fine but does have the dreaded aluminium corrosion appearing in all the usual places, please see attached album for more pictures.
There is some light surface on the chassis and the rear cross member is bubbling up in a few places too, again please see pictures to judge for yourself.
One issue on these Defenders is the LCD display in the speedo begins to fail and this one is no exception. The first digit is not displaying properly (again pictured in link below) this has lead to some confusion when MOT and service time comes around. For instance on the last MO the chap read the first number as an 8 when it is a 6.
To get to the bottom of this issue have just sent the speedo away to UK Cluster Repairs to get the display mended and they will be able to tell for sure what the correct figure is as it is stored within the speedo unit so there should be no issues. The owner of the vehicle at the moment has done less than 2000 miles a year over the past few years so for the mileage to jump from 62,000 to 82,000 in 12 months is pretty unlikely.
Below is a link of other people suffering the same issue:

The car has 14 service stamps in the service books and a lot of receipts including 2 or 3 original purchase invoices in its history file. The MOT expires on the 9/06/2012 and the tax expires in may 2012.
Overall this vehicle is a very nice example and it drives beautifully (I have just covered 400 trouble free miles in great comfort)and there are no unpleasant knocks or groans that you may expect. It could benefit from a little bodywork and maybe some undersealing but to be honest it is in good condition for a 13 year old Land Rover.
Here is a link to lots of pictures on Photobucket, PLEASE do have a look through them:
